  • Bring any X-rays, MRI scans and reports you already have
  • Bring your referral letter if you have one, and your medical aid details
  • Write down your symptoms, medications and questions
  • Wear clothing that allows the hip or knee to be examined

  • Arrange help at home for the first weeks
  • Make your home safer: clear walkways and remove loose rugs
  • Ask about any medication you should stop beforehand

  • Return to activities gradually, as advised
